Today we passed SB79, legislation to increase Pennsylvania’s minimum wage to $9.50 by January 2022. I voted “yes” on this bill because to continue the status quo isunconscionable, but let me be clear, the wage defined in SB79 is grossly inadequate.
Sen. Collett, who is both a lawyer and a nurse, says the bill does nothing to help people living with Down syndrome, but uses them to restrict abortion rights. She reads letters from people seeking state help for their children with DS.
